I am DIGGIN’ these army green hues at the moment. There are a lot of names for this shade of green: army, moss, olive, and so on. Call it what you want, but there’s one thing that’s for sure. This color is going to be one of my biggest personal, crazes to incorporate in my outfits this year. The hue can almost be a neutral, which means there are plenty of ways to integrate it into your wardrobe, no matter what your style is. This color was prominent on Spring/Summer 2015 runways at various designers shows. Marc Jacobs designed muted green frocks, and Ralph Lauren’s show featured olive separates.
Now, it’s my turn to wear the color.
Not sure what to match this hue with? It looks best paired with white, black, or true neutrals like beige and cream. With these color combinations, you can create multiple types of looks. Alternatively, if you like to be more daring with your color choices, play up the olive and layer with other shades of green or neon. You can also throw on olive accessories, be it a hat, shades, handbag, or your shoes.
If you’re already wearing this color and you’re a fan, there are still ways for you to switch it up for a 2016 update. Try a piece that wouldn’t usually be the color, such as a leather jacket, a fringed coat, or a floppy wide brim hat.
